3 games done, and only 1 remains. On Tuesday afternoon, the Eagles came into a tough game looking like, well, the Eagles. Santiam Christian has impressed me so much this year, just doing their thing. It showed last week against Jefferson and Dayton, and it definitely showed again tonight.
Sadly, I have been having some camera issues. There are some blurry photos included in this album due to the importance of that point in the game. Hope you understand.
Pictures below of the first round win over Jefferson and the Quarterfinal victory over Dayton.

The Eagles beat the Hawks in 11 innings to hold onto the league title, and 24 hours later the Eagles wipe out Regis in 6.
Tanner’s face shows the excitement of driving in the winning run.
Every year Santiam Christian reserves the track at LBCC, invites several Willamette Valley Christian schools, and hosts an all-day elementary track meet. I have been to ten over the years, with various weather from sweltering heat to serious rain storms. Weather was just fine this year, and it was fun to watch the kids going at it.
Mia was too excited waiting for her turn in the hurdles!
The Eagles are heading toward the playoffs playing really well. Over the last two weeks they took care of Sheridan, Dayton, Amity, and Monroe. Lots of pics to see, so get after it!
Josh got so into the game against Dayton that he had to break out the antique binoculars!
Seven days ago, Chance and I went tandem on the 2016 Eagles’ Flight. The event included a 10k, 5k, and 1 mile fun run! The pictures are grouped as close as possible, but it is not a perfect timeline. There are some blurry shots included, especially the awards, due to one camera malfunction. I still included a few of these if there was not any other substitute.
There is not a direct way to purchase from my website yet. You can see my prices here, but you will pay 10% less, and another 10% goes right back to Santiam Christian! Please email me direct about pics desired to purchase. Please know that ordered pics will be finely edited for optimum light and clarity, as well as cropped by size ordered.
So, after going through almost 1,000 photos, and trimming that down to just over 530, here is the album! Thank you for participating in the 2016 Eagles’ Flight!!!
And off the runners go!
How SC baseball has two 1 run victories in week is stressful enough. When you add the game last week, that makes 3 out of 4, and 3 straight home games, that come down to the end and needing one run to pull out a victory. The Eagles faced a solid Taft squad on Tuesday, and then league-leading Horizon Christian on Thursday. With the two victories, SC put themselves into a tie with HC at the head of the league. We will have to see how the next two weeks play out!
